In downtown Galveston is a street called the Strand where beautiful historic buildings line the street with their many shops, galleries and restaurants. This artwork represents the colors displayed by the buildings while the tourists shop their wares store by store. Bright colors attract the customers represented by vertical brush strokes along the architecture as children play and peer in the shops.
