Early summer, there is a cemetery on Galveston Island that blooms in yellows and reds. The wild flowers bloom in abundance amid the tombstones and monuments drawing people to view the sight. This piece, saturated in color, represents that day when the wild flowers are most abundant. The monuments stand amid the sea of color below a stark, blue sky. Fine bristle brush strokes are angled across the sky in my signature fashion and I hope you enjoy this artwork.
