Description
The Galveston United States National Bank building is one of the last of it's kind because in 1926 the United States Congress banned the use of the words 'United States', 'Federal, and 'Reserve' in bank titles. This building still stands today as can be seen in this piece. The building stands against a blue sky with intermittent clouds and a slight breeze as shown by the foliage below. I was taken by the architecture of the building so I rendered it's appearance in it's natural colors and accented the piece with bristle brush strokes across it's face.
