It was still dark outside, the cruise ship gliding past the Italian coast, the sun starting it's early morning rise. Was it sea fog or low clouds hanging over the city? Everything was starting to come into view, the lights were dimming as the first rays of the sun were peaking over the mountains. The experience being conveyed by this piece was just that, dark colors of copper, dark blue, with shades of a dark emerald green. Large brush strokes, with smudges within the low hanging clouds give a sense of awakening from this sleepy coastal city.
