It was a warm summer day at the pier overlooking the water and the seagulls were abundant. Waiting for the tourists to throw food in the air, they were all waiting for the tasty morsels. When there was no activity, the gulls would mostly sit in the water while others perched atop the pier beams, keeping watch. This piece represents that very scenario, a single gull overlooking the others waiting in the water.

From landscapes, to architecture, from visceral to our most human desires, my artwork is a window to the real world with a wrapper of artistic flair and feeling. I like creating artwork from real life as well as documenting travel locations under varying lighting conditions which guide my artistic mind. You will see it in my artwork, real locations, but changed by my feelings at the time, sometimes transforming the real, to the surreal but very recognizable.
