Artist's Description
The pier, a silhouette in the morning sunrise over the Gulf of Mexico, Galveston, Texas. Locals know it as the 61st Street Fishing pier. It has withstood many storms and was destroyed and rebuilt after some. But today it stood out majestically over the water as the sky turned from dark grey to reds and oranges. In the distance you can barely see a tanker on the horizon waiting offshore for a call to make it's way inland. Dark clouds above, reflections in the water as the colors change as the beach is still dark with what little light is available. Again my signature style with bristle brush strokes across the clouds colored by the sun and my signature in the lower right corner.

I feel most alive when I've recently photographed a location and use the photo as an inspiration for...
