Galveston, Texas is rich in history and architecture. This piece displays the architectural styles of the 1900's amid the shadow of the modern skyscraper, the American National Insurance Building. The palms give the homes an island feel under the stark blue sky of midday. Subdued colors, aged and weathered, embrace the old homes as the skyscraper hovers over them from a distance in it's tall standing glory.
